Two champions and a maiden fair

Poco a poco estoy completando las miniaturas para el juego. Hoy os dejo a los dos pretendientes a la corona y a uno de los personajes que podrán encontrar en su marcha hacia el campo de batalla.

Little by little I'm finishing the miniatures for the game. Today I show you the two candidates of the crown and one of the characters they will find in their march to the battlefield. 

A este caballero ya lo tenía pintado hace tiempo, pero lo he rebaseado para la ocasión. Ambas figuras son de la caja Medieval Tournament de Italeri. Las figuras son enormes, más grandes que la media de 1/72, así que les he quitado las bases para disminuir en unos dos milímetros la altura, aunque el tamaño sigue siendo superior al de cualquier otra miniatura que tengo. El portaestandarte lleva en realidad un espadín de madera que he cambiado. El brazo de la lanza pertenece al kit de Echar Crested Knights, cuya escala es inferior los de Italeri, pero el brazo disimula muy bien.

I got this knight painted for a long time, but I have rebased him for the occasion. Both figures are from the Italeri box Medieval Tournament. Figures are huge, bigger than the average of the figures I got, so I remove the plastic bases to decrease their size. The banner man wore a little wooden sword I removed. The lance arm come from the Emhar kit Crested Knights, whose scale is smaller than Italeri, but the arm fits very well.

El otro candidato a la Corona procede del kit de Zvezda French Knights, sin modificar. La heráldica procede de un set de LittleBigMen, perteneciente a caballeros hussitas. Me gusta mucho el símbolo del sol, y he tratado de reproducirlo en la barda del caballo del campeón.

The other candidate for the Crown comes from the Zvezda kit French Knights. The heraldry comes from a set of LittleBigMen, of Hussites knights. I like very much the heraldic symbol of the sun, and I tried to paint it in the barding of the horse.

Por último, una doncella misteriosa defendida por dos singulares guardaespaldas. Las miniaturas son de kit muy diversos. La doncella es del kit de Italeri de donde proceden los primeros caballeros; la tienda, del kit de Emhar de donde saqué el brazo de la laza de caballería. Los guardaespaldas proceden del kit de Modern Mounted Amazons, de Dark Alliance.

Lastly, a Maiden Fair protected with two special bodyguards. Figures come from different kits. The Maiden is from the same Italeri kit than the first knights. The tent, from the Emhar kit were I took the arm with the lance. The bodyguards are from the kit Modern Mounted Amazons, from Dark Alliance.

La escena está inspirada en un famoso tapiz medieval, conocido como La Dama del Unicornio. Me he tomado tiempo en pintar estas figuras, porque me gusta mucho la escena, y quién sabe para qué usos posteriores podré utilizarla. Tal vez, incluso, pueda añadirle más detalles para completar la escena. En el juego, la doncella representará una poderosa hechicera que apoyará al bando que consiga superar una prueba que demuestre ser merecedores de su apoyo.

The scene is inspired in a famous medieval tapestry, known as The Lady of the Unicorn. I take time in painting the figures, because I like the scene very much. Who knows the use I can give them in the future. Perhaps I would include more details to complete the scene in the future. In the game, the lady will represent a powerful sorcerer which will support the side who could overcome a trial to show they deserve her aide.
