How to paint...?

Since a long time ago I have thinked about what technique to follow to paint a lot of figures in a short time. I'm less able to paint than before and I don't have the will to paint a large amount of figures, but to play with themm and the process from having the figures and to really play with them kills me. So, how can I do to paint a large number of figures in a shor time?

To paint samurai, whose clothes and armour use to be very uniform, I've tried a technique in which I use a single base color where to apply lights after. For me, is important to use a base color which can give the figure a realistic aspect, so I decided to use brown and white.

Both figures are from New Line designs, and are printed in white. The right-handed is basepainted with Vallejo's Brown Sand 876. After being printed, I've painted the white's cloths in Green Grey 886, to see how a soft green color could result. After that, I've painted the face, hands and feet with Sunny Skintone 845 and then I've wash them with Citadel brown ink.

After giving the ink, I've painted the brown's clothes with a mixture of Desert Yellow 977 and Beige 917, while the white is painted with Green Grey with a drop of White. After that, I've painted the hats, hair, and all the details in black. The last details are white color for the ribbons and the weapons, in Flat Brown 984 and Desert Yellow. Not counting the waiting pocess to have the ink dry, it takes me about 10 mins to complete all the process.

I've also painted two Zvezda's samurai to see a similar painting, but with Desert Yellow and White. I like it very much.
